Sanding and sealing of beautiful 18-year-old solid Rosewood flooring.
About this Project
Luxury Vinyl Tiles
Existing ceramic tiles were prepared by first applying ITE-Bondite, bonding liquid, mixed with F10 self-leveling screed to a slurry and applied with a builders brush to create a secure bond between the ceramics and the self leveling screed to come, onto the existing ceramics.
Then we applied an ITE F10, 3mm thick self leveling screed to smooth out the prepared ceramic tile surface to receive the new stick down LVT’s. (Luxury Vinyl Tiles/Planks).
Once done successfully, we glued down the Belgotex 2mm thick Charleston LVT wood planks with Qualichem’s QAR179 adhesive. The LVT’s are 182.88×1219.2×2 thick, with a 0.3mm clear PVC embossed top wear layer.
In the doorways we finished off the LVT’s with Kirk Marketings anodised bronze edge trims and single retrofit anodised stair nosing profiles.
Sanding and Sealing of existing wooden floors
Existing Rosewood floors, originally done 18 years ago, were sanded down with our imported Hummel sanding machines from Germany, primed and sealed with Loba WS 2K Duo, a 2 component, water based sealer imported from Germany.
Some existing damaged wooden planks were first replaced and the doors strips were also replaced with the Rosewood door strips.
