New Vinyl Flooring

About this Project
Enduro backed (bitumen) carpets had to be uplifted from a substrate to allow us to install vinyl sheeting.
Many bags of ITE F30 commercial quality screed onto generously applied ITE Bondite to secure a sound bond between substrate and screed.
A specialized “beaver 250” electrically operated floor stripper was used to first remove the carpeting from the substrate.
Then we had to use another specialized electrically operated machine called a PCD Disc to remove all the bitumen left behind by the contractor who applied the incorrect adhesive and did not make use of a pressure sensitive adhesive before we could apply ITE Bondite to the substrate to secure a good bond between the newly applied ITE, F30 commercial grade self-leveling screed.
Once cured and dry, we applied another coat of ITE Bondite to secure a good bond between the newly laid self-levelling screed and the new Belgotex 2mm Astral (welded joints), vinyl sheeting.
